Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program 2022: The Japanese government has begun accepting applications for the MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) scholarship from Bangladeshi interested. Those who want to join the research (postgraduate and PhD), undergraduate, college of technology and specialized training programs in Japan in 2022 can apply. A Scholarship Circular in this regard has been published on the website of the Ministry of Education of the Government of Bangladesh recently.

1. Research (Master's and Phd)) students
2. Undergraduate students
3. College of Technology students
4. Specialized Training College students

According to the scholarship Circular, initially 40 students will be selected for research level, 4 for undergraduate level, 3 for College of Technology program and 3 for specialized training college. The selected candidates will have to participate in a written and oral examination to be held at the Embassy of Japan. Some conditions have been mentioned in the notification in case of application.
Those who want to apply for research (postgraduate and PhD) must be born after April 2, 1986 and have passed the undergraduate or postgraduate examination. In addition, those who want to study in the other three programs, they must be born after April 2, 1997. Educational qualification must be higher secondary pass.
It has been said that special emphasis will be given on English or Japanese language proficiency in the selection of candidates. Certificate of IELTS or TOEFL must be submitted with the application.
Online application has started from last 5th May.
Applications will be accepted till 5 pm on May 20.
No candidate can apply for more than one program. Anyone must apply for a program. In addition, if the required documents such as certificates, marksheets, etc. fail to submit to the Ministry in time, the application may be rejected.
The list of initially nominated candidates will be published on the website of the Ministry of Education. Then written and oral examination will be held. This test will mainly test English language proficiency.
